A GLEN VIEW 3 man was hauled to court after he was found in possession of 36 sachets of dagga weighing 95 grams.
Collen Mudoti, 27, pleaded guilty when he appeared before Mbare magistrate Tafadzwa Miti facing charges on unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.
He will know his fate today.
When he was asked what he wanted to do with the 36 sachets of dagga he highlighted he wanted to smoke.
“Your worship, the work that I do requires a lot of labour so I have to smoke so that I will not feel the pain and sometimes because of the harsh economic situation I am forced to smoke so that I will not be depressed,” said Mudoti.
Magistrate Miti asked him if he knew that what he did was illegal although he had highlighted his reason for his actions and he responded that he was aware of it.
“Your Worship, I admit it is illegal,” Mudoti responded.
The State represented by Fanuel Madanhire heard that on October 22 at around 10 am the State representatives were on patrol.
They came across Mudoti, after searching him they found him in possession of 36 sachets of dagga weighing 95 grams.
