ALICK Macheso’s musical prowess charmed a Siyakobvu Chief into giving him goats on stage last Friday.
Chief Nebiri of Siyakobvu in Mashonaland West, who was part of the crowd as Macheso performed at Siyakobvu Centre, had to order his aides to bring him two goats which he presented to the entertainer.
Although the Chief was also charmed by Orchestra Mberikwazvo’s performance, H-Metro heard that he was also appreciating Macheso for his latest album which described as ‘the best’.
Baba Sharo was performing at a Zimbabwe Red Cross Society event where he is the ambassador.
Macheso said he feels humbled that people are appreciating his new project.
He said that has been trending in various parts of the country he is visiting since the release of the album.
“It’s an honour to have a Chief appreciate your work that way when you visit their area.
“The new album is being received well and this gives us the energy to work more hard,” he said.
Macheso’s camp also hailed Chief Nebiri for the gesture.
“We were humbled and shocked at the same time. He came with these two goats as gifts.
“He gave reference to the performance and the new album,” said Macheso’s spokesperson Tich Makahamadze.
