All set for Castle braai day
27 October 2017
ORGANISERS of the Castle Lager National Braai Day to be held at Old Hararians Sports Club this Saturday are confident the event will live up to its expectations.
With two days left to the event, organisers still maintain they will only release tickets on the day of the event.
“Our tickets will only be available at the gate on Saturday to avoid counterfeits and we are not taking any chances.
“We are inviting everyone to the event and hope to grow the cause of fun as our consumers continue to familiarise with the Castle lager brand.
“We are hoping our consumers will reciprocate our efforts and attend the braai day in their numbers,” said Delta Beverages marketing manager, Patricia Murambinda.
Murambinda said they are not bothered by other shows being held on the same day.
“We are not worried with what’s happening elsewhere in the capital and we are only interested in bringing the fun associated with our event to our consumers.”
To ensure a memorable event, organisers have lined up entertainment from dancehall star Winky D who will be the main act.
He shares the stage with Jah Prayzah, Ammara Brown, Andy Muridzo and Freeman who have all promised an entertaining date with fans.
Last year, meat lovers consumed up to 12680kgs of meat in one day and this time around organisers have raised the target to 15 tones which they have labeled a possibility.
Various local DJs will be on rotation at the event which is expected to start around 10 am till late.
Those attending the event are expected to part with US$10 which comes with a braai pack and one liter of Castle lager all redeemable upon entrance.
