Amidu joins new club

Former CAPS United player Abbas Amidu has joined Division 1 side Arar FC in Saudi Arabia.
The star has penned a one year deal with his new paymasters and has rejected a deal from Raja Cassa Blanca from Morocco who also wanted his services.
Amidu who left Egyptian club Entag El-Harby revealed that it has always been his dream to play in Saudi Arabia.
“The main reason why l chose this team is because of the country. It has always been my dream to come to Saudi Arabia.
“And dreams were turned into reality. Besides that the club is a good club.
“I’m just excited about this move and l can’t wait for greater things ahead,” he said.
“I think l am getting used to the way they play and the team because I have learned how they play since l was in Egypt last season.
“Now l am much better in terms of play.”
Amidu says he is hoping to be the top goal scorer.
“My aim is that l be the top goal scorer. I believe in hard work and that if I will be able to reach my targets.
“Their league started this month and l haven’t been able to play because my permit is not yet ready.
“But it will be ready by end of this week and l am just ready to do what l love, which is playing the beautiful game of football.
“I just want to thank my family for supporting me in my career and my brother.
“I also want to wish my brother all the best at Dynamos and in their remaining games” he said.
