Bashed over braai

A Mufakose man has been arrested for allegedly beating up another man who had confronted him on why he had picked pieces of meat on a braai stand without his consent.
Michael Muziwi, 38, denied the allegation when he appeared before Mbare Magistrate Miti charged with assault.
He was remanded out of custody to June 14 on US$30 bail.
The State. represented by Gerald Date, had that on 27 May 2016 at around 7pm, Tatenda Matanga of
Aspindale was doing braai with his friends at Samuriwo Shopping Centre in Mufakose.
It is alleged that Muziwi went to the braai stand and started to eat meat without Matangaâ€™s consent.
The court heard that Matanga then confronted and asked Muziwi why he ate his meat without his consent.
This did not go well with Muziwi who attacked Matanga, it is alleged.
It is alleged that Muziwi produced an okapi knife and stabbed Matanga on the head.
Matanga sustained a cut on the head and was rushed to the hospital.
A report was lodged with the police, leading to Muziwiâ€™s arrest.
