BODYBUILDING CHAMPION RETIRES
5 January 2017
Former Mr Zimbabwe, Champion Chienderamwano, has officially retired.
The 30-year-old, who won the 2013, 2014 and 2015 body building titles, said he decided to call it a day to concentrate more on his business projects.
“I want to focus more on my business which I started three years back and now it’s on track.
“I have opened a transport company called Laurel C Solutions. It’s a Shuttle and tours transport business which I have a contract with Botswana Tourism to transport tourists to all tourist attractions in Botswana.
“I have moved the same line of business here in Zimbabwe and I have contracts with some schools to use my buses, therefore that kind of business needs attention and commitment,” Chienderamwano said.
Chienderamwano however said he will be available for every body building activity that will need his assistance.
“Retirement is not failure but part of growth. It’s a stage that every athlete passes through. What matters is life after retirement.
“Retirement is not abandonment. I just feel I need to move to another level. I’m retiring as a competitive bodybuilder but I’m not retiring from bodybuilding.
“I will be available to help bodybuilders and also the National Federation in whatever way they will want me to,” he said.
