FC PLATINUM and Highlanders ensured they collected maximum points to keep their title campaigns on track.

Ngezi Platinum, on 35 points, had opened a six point gap after they edged Chapungu 1-0 on Wednesday.

Yesterday FC Platinum reduced the gap to three after they dismissed Nichrut 1-0 at Mandava.

Log leaders Ngezi Platinum however, can still open the gap again when they face Harare City at Baobab tomorrow.

Highlander also won 1-0 over Bulawayo City to move back to third with 25 points, 10 points behind log leaders.

Bosso will now face Chapungu at Barbourfieds on Sunday while FC Platinum face Chicken Inn on the same day at Luveve.

Highlanders’ opponents yesterday Bulawayo City reckon they were just unlucky to lose the game.

“You outplay your opponents and the result comes the opposite. What I’m happy about is that the boys are giving a fight,” Bulawayo City coach Amini Soma-Phiri said.

“The games I have been playing we were playing 60, 65 minutes, but today we played the whole match. Sometimes in football you need these kind of things, you need luck,” he said.
