Capitalk FM’s inaugural old school gig on tonight
29 December 2017
Top commercial talk radio station, Capitalk 100.4 FM will tonight host its inaugural old school gig.
Dubbed “The Reunion Party” the potentially exciting event has been set for the recently open, Hometown Coffee and BBQ Bar in Borrowdale.
The gig that caters for old school music fanatics will feature the best of 80s and 90s music with renowned old school deejays Darlington Masenda, Kudzi Marudza, Kelvin “Soul Supreme” Sifelani and Otis “The Flow” Fraser on rotation.
It is a gig that also sees the reunion of radio legends (above mentioned deejays) getting together just like in the old days when they rocked the airwaves.
The gig has also received support from fellow legend radio deejays among them Tony D who is based in South Africa who endorsed the gig and urged all old school lovers to attend.
Capital FM station manager, Napoleon Nyanhi said:
“Capitalk 100.4 FM is an adult contemporary radio station and most of our music caters for lovers of 80s and 90s music.
“It was therefore imperative that we create an event to celebrate that era and provide an alternative to the prevailing pop culture.
“The response to the adverts we have been running has been phenomenal and we are looking forward to a great time of reuniting with our yesteryear radio legends and friends returning from the diaspora.
“The most important thing though is you have to be a lover of old school music.”
