FORMER Soccer star Dennis Dauda is now unlikely to join CAPS United with indications he will have more options once Yadah clarify their Premiership status ahead of the 2018 season.

This week CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe indicated that he has the majority of the players he wants while sources at Yadah indicate the player is also not short of suitors.

The Yadah star is one of the most highly-rated defenders in the domestic Premiership and chances are high he will join another ambitious domestic side.

“What the player has been waiting for is clarification from his club on the future first. He is committed to Yadah but if they then set him free, that is when he will join another club.

“Chances that he will move to CAPS United are however very slim given they have already turned their attention to other defenders on the market while the player has other options,” said source close to the player.

A number of defenders are training with CAPS United. These include former How Mine star Praise Tonha and former Triangle man Blessing Chimwamuchere.

These add to the likes of Hardlife Zvirekwi, Zvikomborero Bizerk, Valentine Musarurwa, Justice Jangano, Stephen Makatuka, Oscar Machapa, Method Mwanjali and Kudzi Nyamupfukudza.

In such a scenario chances are coach Chitembwe will be forced to use the likes of Zvirekwi and Machapa in midfield if he is to accommodate all his stars.

If CAPS United are to add new players, it could just be one or two more.

“The players that we wanted to be here are here, we are happy with the quality as well as the number, so we are good to go and work very hard,” Chitembwe said this week.
