Warriors Coach Sunday Chidzambwa is confident that his youthful squad will make it to the final stages in this year’s COSAFA edition scheduled to kick off this Sunday in South Africa.

Addressing the media soon after Wednesday’s training coach Chidzambwa said he is convinced the Warriors will bring home a positive result.

“As a coach you need to get to the finals and that is exactly what I am hoping for. I am happy with what I saw in today’s training. The youngsters are quite good and the senior players are very good. I know if I blend the seniors and these youngsters the result will be pleasing,” he said.

Chidzambwa, whose last show in the Warriors dressing room was in 2009 when he led the COSAFA squad to the 2009 title, added that as a coach with a good history when it comes to the COSAFA Cup he can do it again.

“I have led two successful squads that actually managed to reach the final stages of the COSAFA Cup, so if I managed to do that in the past I can still do it now,” he added.
