HARARE City Queens will conduct trials today to select players who will do the duty in the 2018 season.

The trials will be held at Stodart netball complex.

Coach Ropafadzo Mutsauki told H-Metro that he is looking for players that are ready to fight for the title.

“So far none of my players are leaving though their contracts have expired.

“We are going to let them play against the ones that are coming today and see who takes the spot.

“We want to build another strong team,” Mutsauki said.

Asked on whether he has his targeted players, Mutsauki said they are approaching the trials with open hands.

“All are welcoming everyone but I am more interested in the juniors since it gives me room to nurture them,” he said.

Mutsauki is optimistic that the trials will give him the players that will do the job well.

“My hopes this season is the league, nothing else,” he said.

Last season Harare city finished second to champions Correctional Services.

Asked if he is willing to take some players on loan, Mutsauki said:

“The last time we did that, it didn’t go well. Their clubs ended up recalling them so by holding trials we are simply targeting those that have expired contracts. We want to build our own team,” he said.

Mutsauki, who enjoys working with youngsters, is also the head coach for the national under 20 and 21 teams.
