Coco We Africa drops video
9 August 2018
Popular as a Hip Hop artiste, Coco We Africa, real name Combination Chauya (26) will be dropping a video next week for his song Guveya where he features Andy Muridzo.
Initially when the musician ventured into the industry as a hip hop artiste and with his hit song Dhikondo shaking the air waves, he was known as Coco Master which he then changed to Coco We Africa.
“I believe Guveya will be the hit song for this summer to my fans.
“Andy Muridzo is an amazing vocalist and that’s why I chose him to feature on this song,” said Coco.
Having had it tough growing up without both parents, the musician admires and acknowledges prophet Magaya who took him in when he lost both his parents.
“PHD Ministries is my home.
“I was adopted by Prophet Magaya in 2012 and he raised me under his roof.
“I am a very spiritual person and right now I’m still singing about my life experiences as a young man.
“There is a lot I need to offer,” he said.
The main challenge he has faced so far is dealing with less serious producers who take the music business for granted.
“A number of producers sabotage our music by delaying our projects.
“I appreciate the love from my fans as everyday my fan base keeps growing.
“The other challenge in the industry is just us artists in general, we fail to speak with one voice.
“We should help push each other’s projects because there is no way I am gonna become Jah Prayzer or another artiste, instead of lifting one another we do quite the opposite,” said Coco.
Coco has worked with various popular artists like Jah Signal, Andy Muridzo and producers like Dj Tamuka, which has helped boost his music.
“My next project will be the video for the song I did with Jah Signal, Camellia that was produced by Dj Tamuka.
“I have an upcoming show at 1+1 where they are hosting my birthday on the 15th of this month.
“I am also going to be performing in Botswana at a modelling show on August 25.
The artiste applauds Magaya, Tocky Vibes, Ginimbi and Stunner as people who know what they do and have made progress in their careers.
