DAUDA WANTS OUT
29 June 2018
CAPS United defender Dennis Dauda has requested for a clearance letter from the green machine management despite having a two year contract.
Dauda, who joined Caps United early this year, says he wants to terminate his contract and go to another club where there is professionalism.
“I have found a better club and I think I should get cleared and go.
“My contract with Caps United is still running but I think I should go, I have been with the team for six months now and I haven’t received my signing on fees up to date.
“When I came here they agreed to give me my money before June but up to now I haven’t received anything so the only solution is for me to leave.
“I do have offers and those teams have better professional conditions,” Dauda said.
The nomadic defender added that he is not going back on his decision.
“I have already indicated my intentions to the management formally through Mr Chitima and now I am waiting for their response.
“If I don’t get a formal response I will soon stop reporting for training,” he added.
Caps United spokesperson Cuthbert Chitima however, said Dauda is not going anywhere in as much as he understands the situation.
“He still has a two year running contract with us and that is what I know.
“How can he request for a clearance when his contract his still far from coming to an end.
“The issue of signing on fee that he is basing on doesn’t give him any right to terminate his contract, in fact Caps United hasn’t yet failed to honour the end of our deal.
“It’s a yearly signing on fee and the year is still far from ending, he can only start to claim that we have failed after the year has ended,” Chitima said.
