8 March 2018
Below is a statement by DAZ president Hapaguti ‘Harpers’ Mapimhidze:
SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM THE DANCERS ASSOCIATION OF ZIMBABWE PRESIDENT’S OFFICE:
Members of the Dancers Association Of Zimbabwe and those that are non members,
Our office wishes to express our regrets in the series of unsatisfactory turn of events since our recently held Dancers Association Of Zimbabwe’s 10th Awards.
It was never imagined that these shocking actions will paint out faces..
We would like to make it public knowledge that all your concerns are being looking into and will be addressed so as to clear the transparency question
However, we are very concerned & worried about the shameless behavior of some of our members in our high offices of DAZ who are highly respectable in our society, and have also been looked up to in our backgrounds as father figures.
As it stands the DAZ President’s Office would like to publicly make it available that it Dancers Association Of Zimbabwe has nothing to do & has since distanced it’s organisation from the controversial “sex pest” Mr Japajapa from us.
Anything to do with his behavior, language & actions are not and have never been connected to our organisation.
To our sponsors thank u for transparency & involvement thru out the years and apologise for all the drama recently.
We take upon ourselves as DAZ to place our house in order as we have already started by dishonoring Mr Paddington Japajapa from our Organisation
