DIYA LEAVES CAPS
11 July 2018
CAPS United goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya has left CAPS United and joined Bulawayo City.
Club chief executive Cuthbert Chitima told H-Metro yesterday that they have cleared Diya.
“Yes it is true, we have cleared Munyaradzi Diya. He is no longer a CAPS United player,” he said.
Diya, who walked out on the Green Machine owing to outstanding salaries, sign-on fees and winning bonuses, says his focus now is on his new club.
Bulawayo City are fighting to survive relegation.
“I am not with CAPS United anymore. Now I am looking at the way forward with my new side, Bulawayo City,” he said.
The former How Mine player and Kelvin Nyoni are said to be replacing suspended goalkeepers Takudzwa Ndoro and Aaron Ngwenya at Bulawayo City.
Diya said despite Bulawayo City being near relegation, his hopes still remain on snatching as many wins as possible.
“Of course Bulawayo City are among the last four teams on the log but there is still more time to do better.
“All we need is to put in extra work,” he said.
