DUBZ ON THE MOVE
6 January 2017
GOALKEEPER Tafadzwa Dube looks set move away from Harare City after the expiry of his contract.
Dube, one of the most experienced goalkeepers in the country, is yet to decide on his next move.
He has in the past played for Gunners, Dynamos, CAPS United and FC Platinum.
“No new negotiations for a new contract were opened and I have not received any serious offer so far from another club.
“The year 2016 was not so much of a good year for me. There were a lot of ups and downs but I feel I still have upto seven more seasons playing football so I’m looking forward to the next challenge,” Dube said.
At Harare City, Dube had to compete with Maxwell Nyamupangedengu to be number one.
They had a fair share of opportunities in the past seasons but some analysts thought they should have been at separate teams where they can consistently command their position.
Having played for the Warriors, participated in the CAF Champions league and CAF Confederation Cup, he is one of the most experienced players in the domestic league.
“I think the major highlights of my career so far are winning the league championship, major cups in the domestic league, representing the country in all age groups and being on the soccer stars calendar two different occasions.
“But I won’t be looking much into those past achievements when I finally face a new challenge. I have to try and do better than I have done before,” he said.
