DYNAMOS ARE NEXT: MUTARE
5 June 2018
MUTARE City midfielder Kumbulani Njovo says if they can beat CAPS united, Dynamos can be the desert.
Njovo was speaking after their 2-1 win over CAPS United at National Sports Stadium on Sunday, in reference to their next match.
Dynamos, who travel to Mutare next, are coming from a 3-0 defeat to Triangle at Gibbo and there is no hope they can turn the corner on this mission.
“If we can beat one of the best (CAPS united) it is a bonus to beat Dynamos since they are at the same level or less.
“This win plays a crucial role in the team’s spirit we now believe we can and we are going to prove that in our week 16 encounter against Dynamos,” he said.
“The win came when we really needed it. We were now tired of dropping points. We are now going to prepare for Dynamos. We will try to push as hard as possible.
“We have gained confidence since we are coming from a win and they are coming from a defeat.”
Mutare City are one of the clubs in danger of relegation, if current form is anything to go by.
“It is not yet over we are still in the race. It’s too early for us to start saying we are out, we will keep our fighting spirit to the end.
“I think our strikers were affected mentally since we were losing a lot but with our win, we now have that self-belief again.
“They get more than enough chances but they are failing to make it count for the benefit of our team.”
DeMbare will be hoping to bounce back.
“We are going to adjust at our training to improve on our play, hard work will be our motto because our next assignment is a tricky one.
“Our defence is okay, we communicate with each other well because we have been with each other from last year,” he said.
