Eaglesvale crowned champs
EAGLESVALE Primary School were crowned the overall winner at the cross country competitions held at Gateway Primary School on Friday.
Eaglesvale got 993 points, second-placed Lilfordia had 1212 points and Gateway were on third position with 1358 points.
Receiving a shield on behalf of Eaglesvale boys team, captain Rufaro England dedicated the shield to parents who came in their numbers to support the pupils.
“Eaglesvale has the stamina and energy and I was not surprised to find other schools sweating behind us,” said Rufaro.
“I dedicate this shield to all the parents who came to support us today and the participants felt the covering of some kind as they shouted from the terraces,” he added.
Other schools that took part include Hellenic, Heritage, Sharon, Pathway and Harare International School.
