EUROPE EYES ON KADEWERE

TINO Kadewere’s agent has admitted that the Warriors striker is on the radar of a number of top European teams.
The Djurgardens striker, who was part of the victorious COSAFA cup Warriors squad in Polokwane on Saturday, is top scorer in Sweden with eight goals in 12 appearances.
On Saturday he showed how special he is with a brace that that forced the game into extra time, before he provided an assists for Khama Billiat to bush aside Zambia 4-2 in the final.
“It is not a secret that clubs look for the top scorers in European league and Tino is one of them at the moment.
“There are enquires but the position is that he has a contract with his club. What however, is not in doubt is that he is destined for greater heights,” his agent Gibson Mahachi said yesterday.
The former Harare City star was happy with his contribution in the COSAFA final.
“It is very important for me because this was my first COSAFA tournament. It really means a lot to me and I’m happy that I’m part of the team that won the cup and I contributed also in the final. So that is something that is going to be in my books forever,” Kadewere said.
Zambia had done everything to make sure they can stop Sunday Chidzambwa’s side but Tino’s striker at the death to make it 2-2 changed the script.
“We definitely knew that it was going to be a tough game for us. But we were talking about the game. We said we needed to be 100 percent. Eventually, at the beginning of the game, we were in the game.
“As time went on, we went down a bit and we conceded two silly goals. We kept on going. We wanted this cup, we really needed it. It is good that we scored in the 90th minute. Eventually we got the victory in extra time and that was important for us,” he said.
