LOCAL gospel acapella group Firm Faith Zimbabwe is happy with the response their latest album Whispering Hope is getting.
The 12-track album which is their sixth offering was launched last week at the HICC and has already attracted attention of their followers in and around the country.
The album is a fusion of old and new hymns, which the group said is aimed at appealing to all generations, spreading the word of God to everyone through music.
Group music director, Marshal Matshilele said they had since received requests from neighbouring countries such as South Africa.
This will be under the banner ‘Whispering Hope to the world’.
“We are happy with the response this album is getting. We have received several requests and we have begun working on our distribution channels. Some of the requests have come from South Africa,” he said.
The group has plans to take album across borders with tours in countries such as South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Kenya.
They have also planned a grand launch of the project in the United States of America in August.
“The album is out and as we have said before preparations are already under way for our tours dubbed ‘Whispering Hope to the world’.
“We hope to tour South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Kenya and we will be in US in August where we will perform for the first time. We will again launch the project there for the benefit of our following,” he said.
“We have done all it takes to meet international standards and we are confident we will be appreciated outside,” he added.
Songs on the album include ‘Little is much when God is in it’, ‘Baba ndiri mwana wenyu’ featuring Sharon Manyonganise, ‘Whispering Hope’, ‘One day Jesus will call my name’, ‘Wawanirwa nyasha’ featuring Sharon Manyonganise and ‘If we never meet again’, among others.
