Chairman of Glaudina Housing Consortium Development, Keniard Nyauswa, was yesterday taken to court for allegedly duping a client of $7000.

Nyauswa, 52, was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa charged with fraud.

Nyauswa was granted free bail and the matter was remanded to July 27.

It is in the state’s case that on April 16 in 2013, the accused who is the chairperson of Glaudina Housing Consortium Development, approached the complainant Edwin Gondo.

Nyauswa negotiated a deal with Gomo where the latter would get two stands after depositing $7000.

Gomo paid the money as per agreement. After numerous attempts failed to yield results, Nyauswa then allegedly allocated Gomo a residential stand which had already been sold by the City Council.
