GUTU AWAITS WORK PERMIT

… Wishes Warriors the best
WHILE the Warriors will be connecting to Gabon in the coming days, former star player Archford Gutu will be leaving Zimbabwe for Sweden for a new lease of life.
He has some words for the Warriors but there is no doubt he is solely focused on his journey back to the top.
“I wish them (Warriors) the best and if we believe anything is possible. We have great talents in the team.
“I’m supposed to be in Sweden before the 10th because training starts before that. But my work permit is still not out,” Gutu told H-Metro.
The former Dynamos and CAPS United striker will be re-joining former Swedish club IFK Vernamo where he is highly-rated.
“The feeling is great after this year. You know I thank God and the support of my family which made me stronger than before,” he added.
Gutu joined CAPS United after his return but he never really commanded a place in the first XI, leaving him frustrated.
Yesterday he was however talking about the Sweden memories as he prepares to fight his way to the top again.
“Of course there are a lot of memories,” he said. “And it’s good to go back where people love you not the other way. Only that memory of feeling loved at Varnamo is good enough for me.”
At his peak, Gutu was rated as one of the best midfielders in the country. He is not promising to be a better player.
“I always go for my best but no promises for now. I will follow what God has in store for me,” he said.
