THE HOTTEST female radio DJ in Zimbabwe right now –Kudzai Violet Gwara –turned 25 on Sunday, 10 July.

Apart from co-hosting the very popular 326 Express on Star FM with Phathisani Sibanda, KVG is also a presenter on the television musical programme “Coke on the Beat” that is shown on ZTV every Saturday evening.

In a field where petty jealousies are the order of the day, KVG’s status as a queen of radio has been bestowed by radio listeners in Zimbabwe and abroad.

Listeners, being the consumers, have the final say!

KVG can best be described by clichés; one can pick from dynamite in a small package or a bundle of energy or combine the two to have a near real description of Star FM’s red-hot presenter.

What makes her great is her natural enjoyment of what she calls her job. KVG is as enthusiastic off air, when a song is playing during her slot with Phathisani Sibanda, as she is on air.

Every laugh, every sigh, every giggle or scream you hear from KVG on radio is genuine and coming from the depths of her soul.

KVG does not even try, she just enters the studio and starts having fun. It just looks like a job she is willing to do for free if not pay for.

Here is a young person that is not burdened by the responsibilities of age but just tried her hand in broadcasting and discovered her one true passion that has made it hard for many to imagine radio without her voice and that laugh.

And those colleagues who have problems with her popularity and success, Mandy Hale (The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass) said something that applies to you:

“You don’t have to knock anyone off their game to win yours. It doesn’t build you up to tear others down.”

As KVG starts her 26th year, H-Metro says “Keep shinning, the sky is the limit”
