‘. . . Davido will spice up launch’

MUSICIAN Jah Prayzah says he has adopted the Harare International Conference as the venue for album launches.

In the past few years, Jah Prayzah has been unveiling his new albums at the 5000-seater venue although it appeared monotonous.

However, Jah Prayzah’s camp says they are happy with HICC where they are also going to launch his eighth album titled “Kutonga Kwaro” on October 13.

“We are still going to use the venue for our album launches since it meets our set up.

“The venue is nice and it can accommodate our fans and there is nothing wrong with us using it as we have done in previous editions.”

• CHANGE
Unlike in previous editions, Jah Prayzah feels he has avoided monotony by inviting Nigerian star Davido for the launch.

“This launch is a bit different as compared to previous ones we held since we are bringing an international star (Davido) for the launch.

“Of course we did a song together – Lilly – but we felt it was high time that we bring an international star for a change to ensure that we give fans value for their money.”

• PRODUCTION
The 30-yeaar-old said he was pleased with the progress in the production of his forth-coming album.

“I can safely say all is set for the launch and the production of the CD is going according to plan.

“We have done all the production work and we are only waiting for the launch at HICC,” he said.

• RESPONSE
Jah Prayzah said he was also pleased by the response of some of his new songs off his forth-coming album.

“It’s encouraging to note that some of the songs like Chengetedza and Lilly featuring Davido are now popular with fans.

“As an artiste, it’s feels good when your music is being appreciated before the album is officially out as is the case with most of my songs which have become popular with fans.”

Meanwhile, Jah Prayzah’s album launch will culminate into a massive show.

Local acts, with the bulk coming from the Military Touch Movement are set to participate at the show which is being held in partnership with 2 Kings Entertainment.

Jah Prayzah continues to break new records and a lot is expected at this particular show where the singer will be unveiling a new project alongside Davido.

Meanwhile, event organisers have erected billboards of the show along major roads in and around the capital in the build up to the show.
