UPDATED: Jah Love in accident
DANCEHALL star Soul Jah Love was on Thursday morning involved in car accident near Gweru on his way to Victoria Falls where he was set to perform on Saturday.
H-Metro heard that the entertainer was briefly admitted at Gweru General Hospital but has since been discharged.
Pictures of an injured Jah Love and cars at the accident scene have been circulating on social media with people purporting that the chanter is in a critical condition.
His backing vocalist Super Yute was also injured, according to his camp.
Jah Love’s handler Marshall Bimha, popularly known as Wadis, confirmed the accident but said he was not part of the travelling team.
“I talked to him and he is fine unlike what is being said on social media. People exaggerate things and it’s not good.
“I don’t have enough details concerning what really happened, but the accident occurred near Gweru and he was briefly admitted at Gweru (General) Hospital,†he said.
Changara, a confidante of the Hove Huru hit-maker told H-Metro that he has travelled to Gweru to check on Jah Love.
“Yes he was involved in an accident, the last time I told you I was in Kadoma to get him back home, now I am with him. It’s sad that the show (Saturday) has been cancelled.
“I will not be able to give details that led to the accident though,†said Changara.
Chigunduru, as Jah Love is being referred to, was forced to cancel the show which he was expected to share stage with Kinna, Hwindi president and Dobba Don.
