Jah Prayzah in Watora Mari triumph

MUSICIAN Jah Prayzah’s hard work seems to have paid off after his ground-breaking video Watora Mari clinched the top prize on the Coca Cola top 50 on ZBC TV.
The Murewa- born musician – whose real name is Mukudzeyi Mukombe – is arguably the artiste of the year for the previous year owing to this video which featured Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz.
His other video Mdhara Vachauya is sitting on number six while Tytan featuring Ammara Brown’s Mukoko is second.
Bhachura by Ex Q featuring Ammara Brown’s was number three while Winky D made it on number four with Disappear despite the criticism it received.
Trevor D completes top five with his video Shoko reRudo.
Jah Prayzah’s Watora Mari has been receiving wide coverage on a number of programmes on television which includes Coke on the beat, Music Qualabash and Tshayi N’goma among others.
The video was also premiered on MTV Base Africa as well the record breaking one million views on You Tube in a short period.
The overall winner pockets $2500 with the two finalists getting $2000 and $1500 respectively.
