…crooner ropes in MTM artistes
…fans embrace singer
AFTER his successful tours of Australia and South Africa where he wowed fans, Jah Prayzah will this evening meet and entertain loyal fans in style with a potentially explosive bash at the Harare International Conference Centre.
Dubbed “Jah Prayzah Fill HICC Welcome Back Celebrations”, the gig comes at a time when the 30-year-old crooner is enjoying rave reviews.
He will be supported by artistes from his Military Touch Movement comprising Andy Muridzo, Tahle Wedzinza, ExQ, Nutty O and DJ Tamuka, thanks to 2 Kings Entertainment.
In an interview with H-Metro yesterday, 2 Kings financier and co-director Tichie Mharadze, said Jah Prayzah deserved a dignified welcome after his exploits which has endeared him with the fans.
“It’s no doubt Jah Prayzah carries the man of the moment tag and many people are madly in love with his music.
“His songs of his latest album – Kutonga Kwaro- are being played everywhere and his popularity increased after the peaceful solidarity marches.
“As such, we decided that we organise such a show as we give him a befitting welcome party after his exploits,” he said.
Mharadze said they have also put together to ensure they give fans another option after the aborted Tekno gig which was set to be held this evening at Alex Sports Club.
“It’s no secret that Hararians have been anticipating Tekno’s show which was cancelled at the eleventh hour.
“ We were really touched on why it was cancelled since we were also willing to learn from them.
“We even postponed our Davido show which was set to be held on the same weekend to accommodate them as new players in the industry.
“After learning they had cancelled, we stepped in and gave fans suitable replacement in Jah Prayzah,”he said.
The 2 Kings boss said he was also aware of the current political situation in the country as people are celebrating the ascension of Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa as the new Head of State.
“We urge fans to bring their flags at the HICC as they have been doing.
“We also wish fans to celebrate peacefully along with their peers and avoid violence as they have been doing while observing peace.
“Fans coming will have to fork out $10 for the rest of the ground and $20 for VIP,” he added.
Jah Prayzah last night confirmed the bash and went on to post on social media as he thanked fans for their loyalty.
“This is it!!!!,was overwhelmed with the turnout that came to welcome me back at the airport today and they requested for a special performance. YES its now happening tomorrow (today) at the HICC.munondipasa manyemwe masoja,” wrote Jah Prayzah.
Similar sentiment were echoed by Jah Prayzah’s manager Keen Mushapaidze who thanked fans for their loyalty.
“I can confirm that the Jah Prayzah’s show is on tomorrow (tonight) at HICC after the inauguration of new President.
“After the inauguration, fans will now have an option and will meet JP for more celebrations.
“We want to thank fans for their loyalty as they came in numbers at the airport today (yesterday) to welcome Jah Prayzah.
“We also want to thank fans for embracing our new album; it proved popular during the week and we all know what happened last week,” said Mushapaidze
