MUSICIAN Jah Prayzah will on December 3 serenade party-goers at the popular Ruwa entertainment hub, Mutangadura Hideout.

The show coincides with the 2017 Mr. Ugly finals where Jah Prayzah is billed to share the stage with Killer T, resident wheel-spinners DJ Stavo, DJ Mzaya and Mr Ugly founder, David “Apama” Machowa.

In an interview, show organiser Apama said:

“All is set for the 2017 Mr Ugly competitions and the preparations are already underway.

“The pageant will commence of November 26 with semi-finals led by musicians Alick Macheso and Suluman Chimbetu on course.

“A total of 13 contestants will compete in the semi-finals.

“Thus, Jah Prayzah and Killer T will round up the competition on December 3 and we are expecting a polished act from them.”

Apama said they were anticipating a unique contest as compared to the last edition held in 2015.

“Comparing to the last pageant which was held in 2015, this year will be a little bit different as we are considering a number of aspects on our contestants such as confidence, appearance among others.

“The winner on the competition is set to walk away with a bull and $500 cash prize.

“Already, we have lined up a number of activities which will see our patrons entertained while they enjoy their time at the joint.

“Jah Prayzah, Macheso, Killer T and Suluman are favorable musicians to many and I am certain that their presence will put many partygoers into music ecstasy.

“As organisers of the event, we have done all the ground work to ensure that everyone gets entertained on the day.

“Last year, we did not manage to host the event because of serious commitments which manifested on our personal schedules.

“People should come in numbers at the joint since it is part of our agenda to support the local talent in terms of art.”

Similarly, Jah Prayzah’s manager Keen Mushapaidze also confirmed that they are prepared to perform at the event.

“We are ready to lighten up the event and we are expecting to raise fireworks on the day.

“Our main intention to take part on the competitions is to continue extending the plumes of the album Kutonga Kwaro to our respected fans.

“At the same time, the platform will also assist us in promoting Jah Prayzah’s new look,” he said.
