Judgement yard departs for Aussie
POPULAR Zimbabwe reggae/dancehall outfit, Judgement Yard, left the country Tuesday for their debut Australia tour.
The duo of Tendai “DJ Flevah” Tembo and Etherton “Etherton Beenie” Mutemasango are expected to hold two shows in Australia on Friday and Saturday.
Etherton Beenie believes the tour will help him to market the Zim dancehall genre.
“The tour will broaden our Zim dancehall genre, it’s our first time to be in Australia and we promise a polished act.
“We take every show seriously and we want people who are abroad to get a feel of our genre, that’s our main motive.
“We are holding two shows in Perth and Melbourne,” he said.
Etherton Beenie also told H-Metro that they had a successful tour in Botswana where they exchanged notes with Winky D over the weekend.
“We had a successful tour in Botswana; it was our fifth time to perform in Botswana.
“We took turns with the Ninja president to entertain fans and the hospitality from the patrons was overwhelming.
“It was Winky D’s first show in Botswana and his song Disappear is reportedly on demand.
“The song is being played on every radio station and the singing along was awesome.”
