KELVIN Kaindu makes a return to Gibbo on Sunday with hope of guiding How Mine to victory and keeping their campaign on track.

Since the Zambian mentor left Triangle after guiding them to their best performance in the Premiership, a top four finish, they (Triangle) have been on a downward spiral.

The visit will bring fresh memories but Kaindu may not shed any tears when he faces his former paymasters.

“I have been there before and I’m familiar with the environment. I know the team but I also know they now have a number of new players.

“It will not be an easy game for us but we are targeting maximum points,” Kaindu said.

Going into the game, How Mine have a chance to be among the top three if they win their game. They have 14 points and are one of the teams that have done well so far.

Triangle on the other hand have collected just eight points from as many matches.

“We are not looking much into what have they win and what have we won in the past matches. This is early in the season and we are separated by a very few points.

“A win in the next game will give us a good position but if we lose the game, we are down there again. So it is really too early to talk about positions. The most important thing is to try and win our games without looking at the positions,” said Kaindu.

How Mine are likely to miss Milton Ncube and Brian Mbiriri. Both players suffered ankle injuries.

“They are obviously key players for us. They did not train this week and we are still assessing the situation. If they are not available I’m sure we will be able to find some replacements that can do the job,” said Kaindu.
