AFRO-JAZZ crooner Alexio Kawara says he can’t wait to renew his romance with visiting South African pop outfit Mafikizolo on April 28 at the Harare International Conference Centre.

Alexio says each time he shares the stage with Mafikizolo, it will be a new experience altogether.

And this time around, he feels the date is a bit special as it comes at a time when local promoters continue to show their faith in him each time Zimbabwe hosts an international act.

Jah Prayzah, who collaborated with Mafikizolo on the Sendekera video, will headline the event while Military Touch Movement’s biggest signing Andy Muridzo provides cover.

However, it is Kawara’s inclusion which is set to add variety at the show even though many a fan will be looking forward to Mafikizolo and Jah Prayzah.

In an interview, Kawara said:

“It’s not my first time sharing the stage with them (Mafikizolo and Jah Prayzah) and all I can say is we are preparing to blow people’s minds away like we have always done.

“All the artists there are energetic performers’ and we would like to keep the whole show like that, with a little bit of soul of course.”

Asked on what has made him a hit for many a fan and promoter, Kawara explained:

“I am passion driven, nothing more. I love what I do and I appreciate it even more when I see that feeling in the audience.”

“I think every artist should not limit themselves. Art is not limited. So to the young artistes I would like to like to say be yourself but and don’t be afraid to test other waters.”

Show coordinator, Dee Nosh of 2 Kings said they were ready for the show will all preparations on course.

“We have done all the necessary group work and I hope fans will certainly enjoy the show as we unveil our international shows.

“Like we promised earlier this year, the Mafikizolo show is just one of the main international shows we are bringing and more will be coming this year.” he said.

Event organisers have vowed to release advance tickets early to ease pressure among fans.

Fans will have to fork out $10 for the rest of the platform and $20 for the VIP.

And what has raised the appeal of the show is the fact that it comes at a time when Jah Prayzah and Mafikizolo are currently promoting their latest video Sendekera while Kawara continues to win hearts of many big spenders.

As for Andy Muridzo, it appears his move to join MTM is beginning to yield results.

The show starts around 9pm till very early.
