FC Platinum say they will not stand in Kevin Moyo’s way if an offer from a bigger foreign club comes his way.
The log leaders was responding to H-Metro’s questions on the future of the defender amid indications a number of South African sides, including Supersport United, were monitoring him at COSAFA cup.
Kevin partnered Alec Mudimu in defence in all the three games when the Warriors successfully defended the title.
“We have not had anything official in as a far as Kevin is concerned. But if we get something, obviously we will have to look at the offer and map the way forward.
“But as a club, we never stand in the way of our players if they are making progress in the career, in a way it is good for us,” club spokesperson Chido Chizondo said.
Kevin was one of the best 11 players in the Castle Lager Premiership last year and he remains one of the key players at the champions.
In his absence, FC Platinum however has remained in top form, managing to dislodge Ngezi Platinum on top of the log.
The defender is however expected to make a comeback when FC Platinum hosts Highlanders at Mandava on Saturday.
Kevin is not the only player to have attracted interest from South African clubs.
Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa believes that though they were preparing for the AFCON qualifiers, COSAFA remains a platform for players to show their capabilities.
“Last year we had the likes of Knox Mutizwa and Talent Chawapihwa showing what they are capable of.
It also shows we have a very large pool of players especially when you look at those in Europe,” said Chidzambwa.
