Killer T targets Watora Mari
28 January 2016
DANCEHALL star Killer T is targeting the Watora Mari concert set for this Friday to unveil his new album Bvunza Tinzwe to a different audience.
Killer T is among the artistes performing at this gig to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre headlined by Tanzania’s Daimond Platnumz and Jah Prayzah.
And the chanter, who launched his 12-track album at Mbare Netball Complex a fortnight ago before a crowd which was dominated by ‘ghetto yutes’ will embrace this opportunity.
“We’re ready for the event and as usual we will be there not to disappoint but give out the best for our fans,” said Killer T’s hander Kudzai ‘Supa’ Biston.
“This is also another chance to take the new album to the people. We really know that the show will attract different age groups and it’s good for us,” he added.
The album is being received with mixed feelings, with some suggesting that the chanter has failed to maintain the standards of his debut album Ngoma Ndaimba.
For Killer T’s camp, however, the response is good and they believe with time it (album) will gain more ground.
Meanwhile, organisers of the event 2 Kings Entertainment said everything is in order for the event expected to usher music lovers into the festive mood.
“The preparations for the event are going on smoothly and we are assuring fans a memorable night.
“All the artistes are prepared and they have urged fans to come in their numbers. Diamond Platnumz is coming with a full band and he is expected in the country early to familiarise as well as meeting some of the fans,” said Dee Nosh.
South African model Tiffany who features on Watora Mari video is also gracing the event and will join the two entertainers on stage.
The gig will also see Stunner, Trevor D and Judgment Yard performing.
