POPULAR Star FM presenters KVG and Phathisani arrived in the UK yesterday for their annual trip.

The Impala Car Rental brand ambassadors are in the UK for a third consecutive year and will broadcast their popular 326 Xpress show TODAY from Pamutengo Studios and then emcee at the Greatest Hits Concert set for Leicester tomorrow.

The show features veteran chimurenga musician Thomas “Mukanya” Mapfumo, Jah Prayzah, Sam Dondo and reggae crooner Mic Inity.

Speaking to H-Metro about their UK return, KVG said:

“I am excited to be back in the UK courtesy of Impala Car Rental, it is cold and I don’t like the cold weather.

“We are here for a live broadcast on Friday (today) and the emceeing at a concert in Leicester on Saturday (tomorrow).

“I can’t wait to see how our fellow Zimbos party here in England, it’s such an experience and I am grateful for Star FM and the Zimpapers group for giving us the platform.”

She added:

“Our relationship with Impala as the ambassadors has grown and they decided to plug us into this concert and throw in a live broadcast.

“This will definitely help us reach more people especially here in England, when they come back home they know the super brand to rent with, Impala Car Rental.”

Phathisani, who seemed to enjoy the cold weather, said:

“The weather and people are so welcoming, we travelled well and I have been trying new food since I arrived.

“Many thanks to Star FM for creating the brand we are today and Impala Car Rental for trusting us with their brand.”

Tracy of Impala Car Rental said:

“Impala as a company is going global and continues on international brand activation.

“The view is to set up satellite offices for Impala car rental meant to serve diasporans.

“Music is an effective medium to reach masses and Jah Prayzah has been an ambassador of Impala together with KVG and Phathisani.”
