PREMIERSHIP debutants Nichrut believe that 2018 will be a learning curve for them.

In an interview with H-Metro, Nichrut Coach John Nyikadzino said they are aware how difficult it is to be in the Premiership.

“The Premier League is different from Division One so our debut season is all about survival and making the boys adapt, at the same time learning how it goes in the league.

“I have been in top flight League before and I know how it all goes, it’s an advantage for my boys and we will be working together step by step,” said Nyikadzino.

The former Chapungu coach believes that Premiership action will motivate his charges.

“Our League is very competitive and we have to be in top gear to match the standards, so our preparations mainly centre on how to be in the game as we charge ahead.

“The boys are always confident and I think being in the League is motivating enough for the squad.

“Our main priority is to survive relegation. At Nichrut we do not have key players so that means everyone is a player to watch,” he said.

They will beef up the team for 2018.

“We will be adding a few players because I would like the guys to enjoy what they worked for and I know unity will make us a strong side.

“We have young talented players who are very much energetic. Training is progressing smoothly and we are still to finalise on the players to add to our squad.

“What matters at this point is playing good football and everything comes as we go,” said Nyikadzino.
