LOCAL female dancehall artiste, Mildred Munyikwa, popularly known as Lindsay, has publicly declared war on Fungisai in a new diss.

The song which has already hit local airwaves was played on Star FM’s Dancehall Remedy hosted by Templeman and the mix master Gary B.

A WhatsApp message circulating allegedly wrote by Lindsay is also accompanying the diss which has taken dancehall circles by storm.

“Tete Fungisai chava churu chakapinda nyoka, Aunty Fungi is now irrelevant to gospel music let alone she calls herself Émpress Fungi’ that is a shame,” goes part of the message.

Lindsay’s diss comes at a time when Fungisai seems to have found her ground in the genre and probably becoming a threat to empresses like her.

Fungisai introduced herself through a Killer T collaboration Vanondibatirana and recently her track Amai Ndakanaka has earned her international shows.

Lindsay added:

“Fungisai is now old and irrelevant, aitozamawo luck paakamboda kuimba naKiller T.

“I actually feel sorry for her because no one will take her seriously and she will not have any fans,” she said.

The Ukamuzembera hit maker has challenged Fungisai for a dancehall clash.

“I challenge the aged artiste to come forward and clash with me at the Chipaz’ dancehall clash this year in November if she thinks she has what it takes,” she said.

Efforts to get hold of Fungisai were futile as her mobile went unanswered.

Reports say that she is still to make her way back home from her UK tour.

Lindsay is of the few female dancehall artiste who have collaborated with their male counterparts.

To date, she has collaborations with Kinna, Bonto Man, Legion and Jah Signal.
