Machapa club hunting

UTILITY player Oscar Machapa is club hunting after he was cleared by Congolese giants AS Vita, H-Metro has established.
Machapa was in the Democratic Republic of Congo a fortnight ago where he was given the green light to look for another club by As Vita Club.
He had left the country mid-season seeking refuge back home after political tensions while his contract was still running.
He told H-Metro that he was in DRC two weeks ago where Vita agreed to terminate the contract and gave him clearance.
“I have been cleared by Vita (AS). I was in DRC two weeks ago and we agreed to have the contract terminated.
“They agreed and gave me the clearance on mutual consent and I am back in Zimbabwe to start my career afresh,” said Machapa.
Machapa was training with Yadah FC when he left Vita but he said he is open to negotiations with any club.
“I am fit and ready to play since I was training with Yadah when I left Vita. I am waiting to have talks with Prophet (Magaya) and see the way forward.
“But I am open to any club for now,” he said.
The big footballer said he is also looking for options in Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania but Zimbabwe remains a priority.
“Well, I will also consider Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania but look, I want to be around my family as well.
“So I am deciding to refresh a bit, to play here while I am with my family and see what happens next,” said Machapa.
Machapa was part of the Warriors at the 2017 AFCON finals in January but did not get a chance to play.
