Macheso ready for Mutare
22 December 2016
SUNGURA musician Alick Macheso performs at The Platinum (formerly Pick & Save) in Mutare on Friday as part of his festive season tour.
The tour which will see the entertainer performing every day until December 31 started on Wednesday.
The musician usually takes a month long break in January and he uses this as an opportunity to quench his fans’ thirst.
His stop in Mutare, however, has been described as special by the organisers since it is among the few shows by big artistes in this diamond rich town.
“We’re hosting Alick Macheso on Friday (tomorrow) and this show is very special to people of Mutare.
“Macheso has showed that he loves his fans in Mutare and decided to have a date with them during this busy season.”
Macheso’s publicist Tich Mahakamadze said the tour has already begun and everything is going on well.
“Yes, this is a long trip that will see cover areas like Checheche and Chivi and it ends in Harare on December 31 at Tanza Centre.
“Of course the Mutare show deserves mention and we are urging fans to come in their numbers and enjoy,’ he said.
Macheso will also be sampling new songs from his new album expected next year.
This is despite that his current album Tsoka Dzerwendo is still doing well on the market.
