ALICK Macheso has shelved the release of his new album to the first quarter of next year but will continue sampling new songs during his shows.
One of his songs, Kudzwai, tipped to be a hit on the forthcoming album is already popular with fans.
The song is also circulating on social media receiving hits on platforms like You Tube.
However, Macheso is not worried but will rather introduce more songs during his last shows of the year beginning TONIGHT at Pamuzinda Highway Escape.
The revered sungura entertainer will go for his annual break at the beginning of next year which makes tomorrow’s show a must attend.
Macheso’s public relations and communications manager Tich Makahamadze said they begin the end of year tour at Pamuzinda, a show he described as a return having gone for a long time without performing at the venue.
“We are making a return to Pamuzinda this Friday and it’s one of our last shows in the capital.
“We have been sampling new songs during shows and there are chances of introducing more songs,” said Tich.
After this affair, Macheso will continue with the series of shows with another performance in Chitungwiza on Saturday.
“We have been on a tour of Zimbabwe for a while which saw us reaching out to our fans in various parts of the country.
“That is why we decided to have Pamuzinda and Tanza.”
On New Year’s Eve, Macheso travels to Mutare for his last performance of the year at The Platinum.
He then proceeds to Mozambique for another performance on New Year’s Day.
“Orchestra Mberikwazvo will hold their last show of the year in Mutare at The Platinum and we then proceed to Mozambique on New Year’s Day,” said Tich.
