MACHESO’S NEW ALBUM: DZINOSVITSA KURE
10 May 2018
Sungura kingpin, Alick Macheso, has named his much-awaited album – Dzinosvitsa Kure.
Macheso told H-Metro yesterday that the album, which is his 11th carries six tracks and will be unleashed on June 8.
While he is still finalising on the names of the tracks, the unpredictable Macheso said the name of the album will not change.
“I have named the new album Dzinosvitsa Kure,” he said.
“As of now, we are still working on the names of the tracks. It carries six tracks.
“We will reveal more details as time goes on,” added Macheso.
The development comes as good news to sungura music lovers following a number of unfulfilled promises by the singer.
Macheso has adopted a style of keeping his cards close to his chest over the years as he usually reveals names of his albums a few days before release.
This, therefore, means that the long wait is over.
Those who follow the entertainer’s shows know what is in store for them, since he has been sampling some of the songs during his live performances.
Some have described it as a ‘time bomb’.
At least people have been warned in advance when the bomb detonates.
The musician’s publicist Tich Makahamadze said everything is now set for the album launch which is slated for June 8 at Aquatic Complex in Chitungwiza.
The launch coincides with the celebrations of Orchestra Mberikwazvo’s 20th anniversary as well as Macheso’s birthday celebrations.
“The launch date hasn’t changed, we are working on logistics but we can assure our fans that all is set,” said Makahamadze.
The new album – Dzinosvitsa Kure – is Macheso 11th project following albums like Tsoka Dzerwendo, Kwatakabva Mitunhu (Kure Kwekure) , Zvinoda Kutendwa, Ndezvashe-h, Vapupuri Pupurai, Zvido Zvenyu Kunyanya, Zvakanaka Zvakadaro, Simbaradzo, Vakiridzo and Magariro.
