IT APPEARS talk show host, Mai Rebecca Chisamba, is like wine and only gets better with age.
Her television programme – Mai Chisamba Show – is still going strong and has consistently kept viewers interest years after it premiered on television.
The informative and entertaining family talk show is most likely to be on ZTV’s list of top viewed programmes.
It is quite difficult to have talk shows running for many years but yet the Mai Chisamba Show still exists to present day screening on every Sunday evening from 6-7pm.
In an interview at the Star FM studios, Mai Chisamba said her great passion for the show has kept her going and kept the show valid.
“I think my great passion for this show and also the love I have for people has kept the show alive.
“I have a mandate that I stick to which is to promote our local languages and our progressive cultural values.
“This is what I feel has kept our ship sailing.
“We face a lot of problems, from the day we started the show to present day but we manage to overcome them because of the passion and mandate that we have “Challenges are part of life,” she said.
One would assume that after years of discussing several controversial and topical issues on her show, Mai Chisamba now finds nothing astonishing.
“Zvinokatyamadza hazviperi nekuti hupenyu pachezvawo hunotokatyamadza (Astonishing things don’t cease as life itself astonishing),” she added.
