WARRIORS’ vice-captain Cuthbert Malajila praised the team for working hard as they make final preparations for CAF Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Gabon in a few weeks.
The Bidvest Wits forward said the team is now more focused ahead of the tournament.
“We are in the final stage of our preparations as we face Cameroon in a friendly match.
“This friendly is going to be much important to us because they will help us shape our team and determine where we stand in the tournament.
“Therefore the team is working very hard and so far, I am really impressed by their attitude.
“These boys show that they are really focused,” he said.
The former Dynamos striker also mentioned having a full squad by tomorrow.
“We are expecting Knowledge Musona in camp today.
“Mathew Rusike has been excused officially that is why he was not present during training. He had to fix something.
“I believe the presence of everyone in the camp is a good course because we will be sharing the same spirit.
“We have made it our mandate to carry the work as a team,” said Malajila.
The Warriors are in group B which includes continental heavyweights Senegal, Algeria and Tunisia. Malajila said they are targeting to win all the games as a team.
“All we are hoping for is putting up a good show in Gabon.
“We are targeting to win all the games especially the first game with Algeria. We have to collect all the three points to be in a better position.
“We want to leave a mark that most countries will always remember. We are going there to show what we are made of, to show the world that we are Warriors,” he said.
