Man rapes daughters

A 52-year-old man from Seke appeared before the Chitungwiza magistrate court facing charges of raping his two daughters aged 17 and 20.
Prosecuting Tendai Mukariri proved that sometime in 2009 the man bought a new pant for his now 20-year-old daughter and he asked her to put it on in the absence of other family members before raping her.
The court heard that from the period of 2009 up to July 2017 the accused person has been bedding his daughter without her consent.
On a date not known to the prosecutor but in December 2017, the man invited his daughter to South Africa where he was residing before he allegedly raped her several times.
It was proved in court that the accused person threatened to shoot and kill her if she revealed to anyone.
In another case the same man is accused of raping his 17-year-old daughter.
Circumstances surrounding the matter are that in December 2010 the man is said to have invited his daughter who was staying in Msasa to his place when the step mother had gone to work.
It is alleged that accused played a pornographic disc before dragging her to his bedroom where he allegedly raped her.
It is court’s case that the man raped his daughter several times from the period of 2010 to July 2017.
It was revealed in court that the two sisters informed close relatives who reported the cases to the police leading to their father’s arrest.
The matter was heard before Chitungwiza magistrate Estere Chivasa awaiting for sentence today.
