MANDIRANGA BOUNCES BACK
13 February 2018
DYNAMOS midfielder Emmanuel Mandiranga believes he has recovered enough to get back to his best.
Mandiranga was a marvel to watch at the beginning of last season before his form dropped and it only got worse after he suffered an injury.
“At the end of the season I wasn’t myself, my form dropped after I picked up an injury. I can now say I am back but not yet to my full potential,” Mandiranga told H-Metro.
Dynamos played Mushowani and Buffaloes at Rufaro on Sunday as part of the pre-season preparations.
“These friendlies are helping us to prepare for the season and I am sure that they have also helped us in knowing where we should work on.
“They are important in helping us strengthen our team and to bond well. I am ready for this season. I have tried to work on my weaknesses and make use of my strengths.
“In football there are challenges and setbacks but I pray that I have the strength to overcome them.
“I also believe that this is my year and I am hoping for greater things, even if it means attracting foreign clubs,” he said.
Mandiranga is not easy to win back a place in the team, but remains optimistic.
“I might have other personal objectives but my main one is for the team to win the league.
“To me my team comes first because I have it at heart. But my wish is that we win the league this year since we failed to do that last season.
“We came second last season and the only option we have right now is to be first. I think we deserve it and we have to make coach Lloyd Mutasa happy for his hard work and dedication.
“I would like also to thank him for his effort, his advice he has given me and also for being patient with me and for that I will make him proud,” he said.
