Mangwiro shifts focus

TRIANGLE coach Taurai Mangwiro has hailed the trials his team conducted last week in preparation for the new season.
The former Harare City coach says there was a huge turnout at the session and it was success.
“The scouting went well and I noticed that we have a number of talented players.
“More people who participated were mainly from Hippo Valley, Triangle and Chiredzi.
“There was a group of 70 people and we selected four junior players,” he said.
Mangwiro added that he has also submitted a wish list of players that he wants to work with to the board.
“I have submitted a list of at least one defender, two midfielders and two strikers to the board. We can’t reveal their names because it’s too soon but we will release the names when the time is right.
“We will see how it goes as time goes on. I would also like to work with Chris Mvererechena, who was on loan from CAPS United.
“He was on loan but I want to have him here so we will see how it goes.
“I am happy that we have managed to renew the contracts of Guthrie Zhokinyi, Ralph Kawondera, Simba Makoni and Donald Dzinyai.
“Usually we would lose players because we would have taken long to renew contracts but thanks to the leadership which have made things easier this season.”
