Mesi meets Slomo in Boksburg
23 November 2017
RESURGENT Paradzai Mesi whose career almost went over the cliff will for the first time since his revival makes an appearance on Saturday at the Ekurhuleni Boksburg Hotel.
Mesi had been among the best in the sungura genre before misfortunes befell him.
He is out to redeem himself and rebuild his career and establish a foreign-based following who made not been familiar with his music. Mesi will be joined by former Alick Macheso lead-dancer Franco Slomo who now has his own outfit. Franco is not new to Boksburg and he left an impression earlier in the year when he performed solo at the same venue.
Also performing on the night will be Ronnie Mudhindo and his Orchestra Vazvamburi. Mudhindo also has been doing well with his new album and has had performances around the North West Province in Rustenburg and surrounding areas.
“This is a show not to miss. Paradzai Mesi and Njerama are masters in the game and it is only proper that we give them a platform to showcase their talent. All the logistics are in place and there are no weather issues as we are using the indoor arena,” said Donny Nikisi events and marketing coordinator at the hotel.
Transport to and from the venue has been organised for those from Pretoria and they can Whatsapp +27611235770 for those in and around Mamelodi.
