Mhere to drop DVD

AWARD-WINNING gospel musician, Mathias Mhere, is set to release a DVD for his latest album The Old Testament which hit the market last year.

The Favour hit maker’s six videos will be out on Monday to complement the audios which won hearts of many.

According to Mhere, all the videos were shot at Slimaz Productions and are on High Definition (HD).

In an interview, Mhere was confident that the videos will take him to another level.

“The DVD album will be released on Monday.

“I am confident the videos which were shot in Masvingo and Harare will take me to another level considering my input on this project.

“All the people involved in this project are talented and people should not doubt my words,” said Mhere.

He added:

“Come end of year, these videos will win accolades, trust me on this.

“Besides these videos, I am shifting focus to my seventh album which I believe will hit the market either in March or April.”

Mhere promised fans a busy 2018 full of new stuff and messages which uplift hearts of believers in these trying times.

“I will be preaching the word of God through songs throughout the year.

“Most of the songs will strengthen hearts of the believers as well as entertaining them.

“On this album I am going to do a song which will be a prayer to Zimbabwe.”

Songs which have videos on this album include Nhamo Yekuzvipa, Error, Dhidhindi  Full time, Judas, Vana vaJesu, Ndakunzwa and Mweya Mutsvene.

Mhere’s songs Vana vaJesu and Dhindindi Fulltime were on number 19, 25 respectively on the Coca-Cola top 50 held on New Year’s Eve.

Mhere also told this publication that he will tour Canada this winter.

Meanwhile, Mhere is working on his seventh album due for release during the first quarter of the year.

To date Mhere has six albums to his credit namely Tinoda Nyasha which was released in 2008, Anoita Minana (2012), Nguva Yenyasha (2013), Glory to Glory (2015), Double Double (2016) and the latest The Old Testament (2017).
