Municipal cop releases new album
RISING sungura musician, Simbarashe Mafaiti, has released his second album titled Urikuzvigona Seiko.
The entertainer, who is an employee at City of Harare, said the decision to have a new album came after calls from his fans.
He said the recently released album is already making an impact as some of the songs are already being played on local radio stations.
“The album is doing well on radio and the fans have been asking me to do another album for some time now.
“People do appreciate my music. I was invited on some radio stations for interviews and the response has been awesome,” said Mafaiti.
The new album carries six tracks and the rookie tips the title track, Urikuzvigona Seiko, to be a chart buster.
“The CD carries six songs and to me all the songs are fine but I think the title track will be a cut above the rest,” he added.
Other songs on the album include Shungu dzemoyo, Nherera, Handizi Bhora, Mwari wangu and Ndanyarara Wani.
His debut album titled Piracy was released in 2016.
Mafaiti said he has already begun working on a DVD and will be ready this year.
“I am already working on the DVD album. I also want to express my gratitude to the fans who have been very supportive and fellow employees.
“Special thanks to City of Harare bosses, the likes of Dr Chigombe for providing platforms for artistes to shine,” he said.
