MUTASA FAILS TO ATTEND MEETING
30 May 2018
LLOYD Mutasa failed to attend a meeting with the Dynamos leadership yesterday to agree on new terms ahead of his comeback as coach of the Glamour Boys.
H-Metro can confirm that the meeting was supposed to have taken place at 12 afternoon yesterday, but Mutasa was caught up with Warriors duties.
Mutasa, who is also assistant to Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa, was playing his role when the national team played Yadah in a friendly match.
Club president Kenny Mubaiwa confirmed that the scheduled meeting did not go ahead.
“Yes, we were supposed to meet with Mutasa but he did not come. We will see when we can meet again and that is all I can say for now,” Mubaiwa said.
Although Mubaiwa spoke about the issue of Mutasa’s rebound, the club president is believed not to have been in favour of such a move, preferring to hire another former coach Kalisto Pasuwa.
Negotiations for Pasuwa’s return had already been opened, as revealed by H-Metro on Tuesday.
Board chairman Bernard Marriot, who was also set to be part of yesterday’s meeting, then flexed his muscles and ordered that Mutasa be given back his job, three weeks after he was fired.
However, yesterday caretaker coach Biggie Zuze was still in charge of Dynamos at Motor Action Sports Club, with sources within the club indicating that he is in charge until Mutasa holds a meeting with the management.
