. . . vows to be a better coach
DYNAMOS coach Lloyd Mutasa, whose side finished second in the PSL, has praised 4May for dressing him in the just ended season.
In an interview, Mutasa said the gesture by 4May contributed immensely to how his side finished in the campaign.
“We thank God because it’s not every day where you find people who are willing to give a hand without expecting anything in return.
“I would have loved to pay back by landing the big one but unfortunately FC Platinum deservedly scooped the top prize.
“What 4May did to me as a coach contributed much to my season in boosting my moral and self-confidence and for that I am very grateful. Such kind of support is necessary in making our local league the best in the region,” he said.
Mutasa said he was ready to continue working with 4May.
“Most of our PSL matches were beamed live on SuperSport meaning they were watched by millions across Africa and 4May ensured that every match we played I will be presentable.
If you watch the top flight European leagues you will see how presentable their coaches are; the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte during and after matches and we all play the same game of football thus we must be presentable while we conduct our duties on the field of play.
“I believe this is not going to be the end for 4May but the beginning of a journey to make our league one of the best in Africa,” he said.
“We had a fantastic season and we kept pushing for the big one up to the last day but it was not our season however, as a coach I will always learn from what I did wrong and build on what I did right so that when the next season comes I will be a better coach than I was in the previous season.
“The young stars gave their all but it was not enough for us to come first. Next year is a new season with new prospects and we do look forward to exciting moments on the pitch and hopefully end the season by lifting the PSL crown for our fans who are always with us through it all.”
